Kate Ormiston Smith serves as the Director of Finance and Operations at The B Team since November 2013, tasked with strengthening and growing the organization's core while directly reporting to the CEO. Previously, Kate held various roles within The B Team, including Senior Manager of Finance & Operations and Manager of Challenges & Operations, with responsibilities spanning finances, fundraising, and project management. Additionally, Kate is the Treasurer of The Finance Innovation Lab and a member of the Sustainability Committee at the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, focusing on sustainability strategies. Prior experience includes working as a sustainability accountant and auditor at PwC, specializing in sustainability services for FTSE100 clients. Kate holds a Joint Honours degree in Accounting and Computing from the University of Leeds and is an ICAEW Chartered Accountant.
