Aarika Friend Cpa

Aarika Friend, CPA, MBA, currently serves as a Senior Project Manager at the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) since July 2014, leading initiatives such as the 2024 Agenda Consultation and standards related to software costs and codification improvements. Previous contributions include significant projects like ASU 2023-05 and various agenda consultations. Prior to FASB, Aarika held multiple roles at EY from 2010 to 2014, culminating in the position of Assurance Manager in the Financial Services Office, with earlier internship experiences at Sickler, Torchia, Allen, & Churchill and EY. Aarika earned a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a focus on Accounting from the University of Connecticut and a Master's degree in Business Administration with an Accounting CPA Track from SUNY New Paltz.
