Adam Thurman, CPA, currently serves as a Practice Fellow at the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) since July 2023. With a career at EY beginning in September 2011, Adam has advanced through various roles including Senior Manager in Americas Professional Practice - National Accounting, Assurance Senior Manager, Assurance Manager, Assurance Assistant Manager, Assurance Senior, and Assurance Staff. Adam holds a Bachelor's degree and a Master of Accountancy in Accounting from the University of Florida, completed between 2007 and 2011.

Since 1973, the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) has been the designated organization in the private sector for establishing standards of financial accounting that govern the preparation of financial reports by nongovernmental organizations. Those standards are officially recognized as authoritative by the Securities and ExchangeCommission (SEC) and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
