Tanya Paul is an Assistant Professor at the University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business since July 2022 and a Post-Doctoral Fellow at the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) since June 2021. Tanya has been a PhD student at The Wharton School since August 2015 and served as a Teaching Assistant for the Advanced Corporate Finance course in late 2014. Tanya holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Accounting from The Wharton School, awarded in 2020, and a Bachelor of Science in Economics, Statistics, and Finance obtained in 2015. Since 1973, the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) has been the designated organization in the private sector for establishing standards of financial accounting that govern the preparation of financial reports by nongovernmental organizations. Those standards are officially recognized as authoritative by the Securities and ExchangeCommission (SEC) and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
