Yazhi Lei, CPA, MBA, is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in financial research and analysis. Currently serving as an XBRL Project Research Associate at the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) since September 2014, Yazhi has held progressive roles within the organization, starting from an intern position. Prior to joining FASB, Yazhi worked as a Graduate Assistant at Fordham Gabelli School of Business and completed a Financial Analyst Internship at State Farm®. Earlier experience includes working as an Audit Associate at BDO. Since 1973, the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) has been the designated organization in the private sector for establishing standards of financial accounting that govern the preparation of financial reports by nongovernmental organizations. Those standards are officially recognized as authoritative by the Securities and ExchangeCommission (SEC) and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
