Graeme McLean has extensive experience in the financial regulatory sector, currently serving as the Head of the CEO Office at the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) since May 2012. McLean has led significant initiatives within the FCA, including the Head of Transformation, where the overall Programme was established, and the ‘People & Culture’ workstream was directed. As the Head of the High-Cost Credit Programme, McLean was instrumental in delivering up to £1.8 billion in savings annually for consumers. Previously, McLean held roles such as Head of Banking, Lending & Distribution, and Head of Approved Persons/Senior Persons Regime, demonstrating expertise in various aspects of financial policy and regulation. Prior to joining the FCA, McLean worked at the Financial Services Authority from August 1995 to May 2012, where roles included Head of International Division and Head of HR Delivery. McLean holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from the University of Dundee and completed the Senior Leadership Development Programme at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford in 2019.
