Nick Bertram

Nick Bertram possesses extensive experience in financial regulation and law, currently serving as Manager of the Wholesale and Perimeter Team in the General Counsel's Division at the Financial Conduct Authority since October 2004. This role involves oversight of regulatory perimeter issues, benchmark regulation, wholesale conduct, and emerging sectors such as crypto and fintech, as well as ESG regulation. Previously, Nick held various positions within the FCA’s General Counsel's Division, including Technical Specialist, Senior Associate, and Associate. Prior to joining the FCA, Nick worked as a Solicitor in the International Finance Group at Sidley Austin LLP in London. Earlier experience includes serving as Assistant Editor at the Institute of Economic Affairs in London. Educational achievements include a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Sheffield, an MSc from the London School of Economics, and completion of the CPE and LPC from the College of Law in London.
