William Fawcett

William Fawcett currently serves as an International Policy Adviser - Senior Associate at the Financial Conduct Authority, focusing on EU Strategy & Engagement, overseeing the FCA's relationship with ESMA and France, and leading various policy files in wholesale, retail, and pensions. Previously, William held positions at the Cabinet Office as a Desk Officer overseeing Department for Education policies and at the Department for Work and Pensions as a Policy Adviser on Defined Benefits pension policy. William's early experience includes an internship with AKE International as a Sub-Saharan Africa Analyst Intern and a role as Director of Operations at TalkPolitics, where leadership and communication were key responsibilities. William holds a Master of Arts in Conflict, Security and Development from King's College London, a Bachelor of Arts in French and International Relations from the University of Leeds, and has studied abroad at Université de Montréal.
