Jonathan Compton

Jonathan Compton currently serves as Case Director at the Financial Reporting Council since December 2020. Prior experience includes a role as Director at BDO LLP from April 2007 to December 2020, providing guidance on technical accounting, company law, and narrative reporting, as well as reviewing financial statements for AIM and fully-listed companies. Jonathan Compton has also held two seconded Project Manager positions at the Financial Reporting Council in 2013 and 2014, contributing to the development of guidance on the Strategic Report. Earlier in the career, Jonathan Compton worked at KPMG LLP from 1999 to 2007, initially as Assistant Manager in Audit and later as Manager in the Department of Professional Practice, offering similar advisory services. Jonathan Compton holds a BA(Hons) in Business Administration, Management, Accounting and Finance from Oxford Brookes University.
