Simon Wasserman is an accomplished professional in the pensions sector with extensive experience spanning over three decades. Currently serving as Project Director Pensions at the Financial Reporting Council since March 2017, Simon oversees a broad spectrum of pensions policy initiatives. As the owner of WASSERMAN LIMITED since January 2008, Simon offers independent consultancy services and has conducted significant audits and actuarial work for UK pension schemes. Previous roles include Senior Manager at PwC and Strategic Actuary at The Pensions Regulator, where Simon contributed to key regulatory initiatives. Simon held senior positions at Aon Consulting, ASA Inc, and HSBC Consulting, where leadership significantly enhanced operations and client engagement. Financial Reporting Council
The FRC is the UK's independent regulator serving the public interest by setting high standards of corporate governance, reporting and audit and by holding to account those responsible for delivering them. We set the UK Corporate Governance and Stewardship Codes as well as UK standards for accounting, auditing and actuarial work. We represent UK interests in international standard-setting. We also monitor and take action to promote the quality of corporate reporting and auditing. We operate independent disciplinary arrangements for accountants and actuaries; and oversee the regulatory activities of the accountancy and actuarial professional bodies.
