Tim Hooper is an experienced project manager specializing in risk and resilience within the Financial Reporting Council's Audit Firm Monitoring and Supervision team, a role held since November 2020. Previously, Tim served at PwC for over 16 years, progressing from a Client Account Associate to Internal Audit Manager and Counter Fraud Specialist, focusing on local government within the assurance practice. Tim's career commenced as an Administrative Officer at the Home Office and included a position as a Travel Consultant at Kuoni. Tim holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Tourism and Planning from the University of Westminster, completed in 2002.
Financial Reporting Council
The FRC is the UK's independent regulator serving the public interest by setting high standards of corporate governance, reporting and audit and by holding to account those responsible for delivering them. We set the UK Corporate Governance and Stewardship Codes as well as UK standards for accounting, auditing and actuarial work. We represent UK interests in international standard-setting. We also monitor and take action to promote the quality of corporate reporting and auditing. We operate independent disciplinary arrangements for accountants and actuaries; and oversee the regulatory activities of the accountancy and actuarial professional bodies.
