Jane Williams is an accomplished conservator with extensive experience in the field of art conservation. Currently serving as the Director of Conservation and Head of Objects Conservation at the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco since February 2017, Jane has a rich history that includes roles such as Interim Head of Collections and Conservation and Conservator at the Phoebe A. Hearst Museum of Anthropology. Previous positions also include Project Conservator at the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco and Objects Conservator at the Asian Art Museum. Jane established a successful business, Jane Williams Art Conservation, providing a range of conservation services from 1996 to 2000. Educational credentials include a Master’s degree and diploma in History of Art and Art Conservation from New York University and a Bachelor of Arts in History of Art from Yale University.
