Usama Kareem

Usama Kareem has a solid work experience with a strong background in finance and accounting. Usama most recently worked at The First Group as an Assistant Manager Finance, where they reported to the VP of Finance and Senior Finance manager, and collaborated with the Board members on various ad-hoc reports. Usama led and managed the finance team, providing guidance, coaching, and performance feedback. Prior to that, Usama worked at Chalhoub Group as a Financial Reporting Accountant, handling month end and year end closing of general ledger functions, accounts receivables, and accounts payables. Usama also prepared monthly trial balances and expense analyses. Before that, they worked at évoluer consultants, LK as an Accountant, responsible for preparing financial reports, managing department budgets, and monitoring business spending. Usama started their career at EY as a Senior Auditor, where they conducted statutory audits for various organizations and industries, including banking and finance, hospitality, NGO, energy services, manufacturing, and export. Throughout their work experience, Usama has demonstrated strong leadership, analytical, and reporting skills.

Usama Kareem began their education in 2015 at the British Informatics of Computer Technology, where they obtained an Advanced Diploma in Computerized Accounting in 2016. In 2017, they enrolled in ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) for accounting and finance studies, which they pursued until 2022.

In 2020, Usama Kareem obtained certifications in Business Valuation, Budgeting and Forecasting, as well as Building a 3 Statement Financial Model from the Corporate Finance Institute® (CFI).

In 2022, Usama Kareem furthered their education by simultaneously studying at two institutions. Usama pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Business Administration and Management from the University of West London. Usama also pursued a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) degree in Finance and Financial Management Services.

Additionally, in September 2022, Usama Kareem obtained the Certificate of UAE Chartered Accountant from the Accountants and Auditors Association (AAA). Usama also became a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) in July 2022.
