Colby Smith

Colby Smith possesses extensive experience in human resources and recruiting, currently serving as SVP and Human Resources Manager at The First State Bank since July 2020, having progressed through various HR roles at the institution. Previous positions include Corporate Recruiter at Sogeti, Recruiting Manager at Robert Half Technology, and Account Development Manager at Barton Associates Inc., where notable achievements included being named Rookie of the Year in 2016. Colby began a career in sales as a Sales Merchandiser for Kristen Distributing, overseeing accounts and sales performance across Waller County. Colby holds a Bachelor of Science in Sport Management from Louisiana State University and pursued further education at Texas Tech University's Rawls College of Business from August 2022 to August 2023.
