Sharon Joseph PhD is an accomplished Intellectual Property Manager and Senior Patent Attorney with over 26 years of experience in the bio/pharmaceutical sector. Currently employed at The Florey since July 2022, Sharon oversees the management of a substantial IP asset portfolio and coordinates with commercial licensees to protect and expand out-licensed intellectual property. Previous roles include IP and Contracts Manager at Canthera Discovery Ltd, Senior IP Consultant at IP CONSULTIS, and Senior Patent Attorney at K&L Gates. Sharon has also held significant positions at La Trobe University and CRC - BioMarker Translation, focusing on intellectual property management and commercialization strategies. Sharon possesses a strong educational background with a PhD in Biological and Medical Sciences from the University of Melbourne and has completed various professional courses in IP and risk management.
