Amira Rasool has held a variety of roles in the fashion and commerce industries since 2013. Amira began their career as an Accessories Market Intern at WWD in 2013, followed by an E-Commerce Intern at Cynthia Rowley. In 2014, they held two internships at V Magazine | VMAN, LLC as an Editorial Intern and Fashion Market Intern. Amira then worked as an Editorial Intern at The FADER in 2015, followed by a Sales Associate role at Opening Ceremony. In 2016, they were a Fashion Coordinator and Fashion Assistant at V Magazine | VMAN, LLC. In 2017, they founded and became CEO of The Folklore Group, a commerce company empowering diverse consumer product businesses in global markets. Additionally, they were an Arts & Culture Writer for Amira Rasool in 2017.

Amira Rasool received their Master of Philosophy (M.Phil.) in African Studies from the University of Cape Town in 2019. Prior to that, they obtained their Bachelor's Degree in African American and African Studies from Rutgers University - Newark in 2016. In 2013, they attended LIM College to study Management. In 2021, they obtained a certification from Techstars Seattle.
