Albert M. Thommen is a Postdoctoral Scientist at The Francis Crick Institute since May 2019, leading a project on diet, obesity, and anti-cancer immunity in pre-clinical models of liver cancer. From January 2013 to May 2019, Thommen worked at the Max Planck Institute of Molecular Cell Biology and Genetics as a doctoral and postdoctoral researcher, managing a long-term research project and earning a PhD. Thommen gained foundational research skills and experience in a Master's thesis project at the Biozentrum, University of Basel, from September 2010 to April 2012, and holds a Dr. rer. nat. in Biology from Technische Universität Dresden, a Master of Science in Molecular Biology from the Biozentrum, and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Basel.
