The Francis Crick Institute
Anna Mary Benedetti, PhD, is a Postdoctoral Researcher at The Francis Crick Institute since July 2023, following a PhD in Cell and Molecular Pathology from the University of Cambridge, completed in July 2023. The doctoral research focused on the role of epitranscriptomic modifications in Acute Myeloid Leukaemia and Uveal Melanoma, specifically investigating the methyltransferase function of the ribosomal maturation protein WBSCR22. Prior to this, Benedetti held a Research Intern position at the University of Birmingham, where work on glycomimetic compounds led to publications in peer-reviewed journals, and completed a BSc/MSc thesis at Sapienza Università di Roma. Early experiences include trainee roles at a pharmacy and an internship at Enel Green Power. Educational background includes a High School Diploma from Convitto Nazionale Vittorio Emanuele II.
