Dan Fitz

General Counsel & Company Secretary at The Francis Crick Institute

Dan Fitz is the General Counsel and Company Secretary of the Crick and responsible for the Institute’s legal and governance matters.

Dan joined the Crick in November 2018, having been the General Counsel and Company Secretary of BT Group plc, the UK’s largest communications company. Dan has practised law in New York, Hong Kong and London. He once chaired the Association of Corporate Counsel and has served as Vice-Chair of the GC 100 comprised of chief legal officers and company secretaries of the UK’s largest public companies.

He sits on several advisory boards, including one for University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill’s undergraduate honours programme.
