Donald Cook is a seasoned professional in intercollegiate athletics, serving as the Executive Director of Athletics, Emeritus at Sacred Heart University since July 2013 after a distinguished 47-year career in the field. Cook provides part-time administrative support to the Division of University Advancement and consulting support to the Athletics Department. Previously, Cook held leadership roles including Chair of the Northeast Conference Athletic Directors, Director of Athletics at the University of Hartford, and Athletics Director at Fairfield University. Additionally, Cook was the inaugural President of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference, where efforts focused on ensuring NCAA compliance for postseason qualifications. Educationally, Cook earned multiple degrees from Fairfield University, including a Bachelor of Social Science in Economics and Finance, along with two Master’s degrees in Counseling and Human Communications.
