Jacob Bush is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in chemical biology and drug discovery. Currently serving as Director of Chemical Biology at GSK since March 2015, Jacob has held various leadership roles including Group Leader and Technology Innovation Leader. In addition to this position, Jacob is a Visiting Professor at the University of Strathclyde and a Visiting Scientist at The Francis Crick Institute, both roles undertaken since March 2020 and March 2023, respectively. Jacob also has consultancy experience with the Drugs for Neglected Diseases initiative, where a feasibility study for a global leishmaniasis clinical trials database was conducted. A former tutor for biochemistry at The Queen's College, Oxford, and research fellow at Harvard University, Jacob holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Biology and a Master’s Degree in Chemistry from the University of Oxford.
