Director Of External Affairs Operations at The Franklin Institute

Marianne Maxwell has a diverse work experience in various organizations. Marianne started their career at the Philadelphia Museum of Art as a Visitor Services Assistant from August 2007 to April 2008. Marianne then worked at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts as a Development Assistant from April 2008 to June 2010, and later as a Membership Manager from July 2010 to January 2012. At The Barnes Foundation, they served as the Membership Manager from February 2012 to January 2016, and then as the Director of Development Services from January 2016 to September 2016. Marianne worked at Project HOME as the Director of Database and Development Operations from September 2016 to December 2017. Marianne joined Fox Chase Cancer Center as the Associate Director of Development Analytics from December 2017 to September 2019. Currently, they are working at The Franklin Institute, where they started as the Assistant Director of External Affairs Operations from September 2019 and was promoted to the role of Director of External Affairs Operations in February 2022.

Marianne Maxwell obtained a Bachelor's degree in History from the University of Scranton, where they studied from 2002 to 2006. Following this, they pursued a Post Baccalaureate Certificate in Museology/Museum Studies at Newcastle University from 2006 to 2007.
