Teshale Byan is an experienced educator with a strong background in mathematics and educational leadership. Currently serving as the Lead Math Teacher at The Franklin School of Innovation since August 2014, Teshale designs and teaches upper-level mathematics aligned with North Carolina state standards, creates comprehensive four-year plans for students, and develops assessments. Prior experience includes a role as Mathematics Teacher at Odyssey Community School from 2008 to August 2014 and as Resident Director in Student Services at Warren Wilson College from February 2006 to August 2009. Teshale holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from Warren Wilson College and is pursuing a Master of Science in Data Analytics at Western Governors University, expected to be completed in 2024. Additionally, Teshale completed studies at Addis Ababa University from 2002 to 2006.
