Lori McDermott

Lori McDermott is an experienced professional with a diverse background in education and technical analysis. Since May 2016, Lori has served as an Educator and Docent at The Frick Pittsburgh, conducting tours of the historic Frick family home. Prior to this role, Lori worked at Highmark Blue Cross / Blue Shield from January 2003 to October 2020 as a Senior Business Technical Analyst, overseeing client-facing extracts and managing project tasks in the Enterprise Informatics Division. Lori's earlier career included positions as a Programmer Analyst, Product Manager, Project Manager, and Conversion Specialist at Fiserv (1990-2002), and as a Lead Technical Analyst at Thermo Fisher Scientific (1980-1990). Lori's programming skills were further developed during the role of Programmer Analyst at Omega Integrated Systems (1979-1980). Lori holds an Associate of Arts and Sciences degree in Computer Science from the Community College of Allegheny County and completed additional studies at the University of Pittsburgh.
