Geert Arts

Geert Arts has extensive experience in software engineering, with a strong focus on Java. Geert began their career in 1986 as a System Programmer and Network Administrator at Market Research Inter/View. Geert then worked at ING as a Software Engineer from 1996 to 2007. Following this, Geert held various roles at different companies, including Delta Lloyd Asset Management as a Java Software Engineer and Scrum Master, DAS Rechtsbijstand as a Senior Java Software Engineer, KLM as a Senior Java/JEE Software Engineer, and ASML as a Senior Java Software Engineer. From 2014 to 2023, Geert worked at NS Reizigers, where they held roles such as Senior Java Developer, Senior Java Software Engineer/Scrum Master, and Senior Software Engineer. Currently, Geert is employed as a Senior Java Software Engineer at Dynniq Energy.

Geert Arts began their education in 1984 at the AMBI opleiding, where they studied Programming, Design, and Datamodelling until 1987. Geert then pursued software engineering at the Open Universiteit from 2000 to 2007. During this time, Geert also obtained a Java certification in 2005.

In addition to their formal education, Geert Arts acquired several additional certifications. Geert completed courses such as Programming Cloud Services for Android Handheld Systems, Pattern-Oriented Software Architectures: Programming Mobile Services for Android Handheld Systems, and Programming Mobile Applications for Android Handheld Systems, all offered by Coursera Verified Certificates. Geert also obtained certifications in Computer Networks and Functional Programming Principles in Scala from Coursera in 2013 and 2012, respectively.
