Micaela Gutierrez

VP, Research & Evaluation at The Future Project

Micaela Gutierrez has been working in the professional world since 2004. Micaela started their career at Wesleyan University as the Coordinator of Women and Children's Programs at the Center for Community Partnerships. In 2007, they moved on to become the Director of Special Programs at the Community League of the Heights. In 2009, they joined Behind the Book as the Chief Operating Officer and Director of Development. In 2014, they became a Consultant for Kyusa, CLOTH, Behind the Book, and StartingBloc. Finally, in 2015, they joined The Future Project as the VP of Research & Evaluation, Director of Evaluation, and Research & Evaluation Coordinator.

Micaela Gutierrez completed their BA in Economics from Wesleyan University between 2003 and 2007. Micaela then studied abroad at Université Paris 13 in 2006. In 2008, they obtained a Social Enterprise Certificate from Columbia Business School in Non-Profit Management. In 2009, they received a certificate from NYU Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service for their Fellowship for Emerging Leaders in Public Service. In 2011, they were a Fellow at StartingBloc's NY Institute 2011. Finally, between 2015 and 2017, they obtained their MA in Educational Psychology with a focus on Measurement & Evaluation from Hunter College. Additionally, they have obtained certifications from Coursera in The Data Scientist’s Toolbox in 2014 and Gamification in 2012.
