Brittany Schmidt is an experienced culinary professional specializing in food and beverage management and pastry arts. Currently serving as the Director of Food and Beverage Outlets at The Garden City Hotel since March 2017, Brittany has held multiple roles within the organization, including Senior Food and Beverage Manager and Head Pantry and Pastry Chef. Brittany has collaborated with renowned Chef David Burke to develop new menu items for the Red Salt Room Restaurant and Lounge and has extensive experience in banquet event planning, cake decorating, and managing kitchen operations. Prior experience includes positions as a Pastry Chef at Cooked to Perfection and a Pastry Cook at Castle Hotel & Spa, along with foundational skills developed as a Pastry Assistant at The Sweet Peace Cake Shop. Brittany holds a Bachelor's degree in Baking and Pastry Arts from The Culinary Institute of America.
