Steph Kawachi

Steph Kawachi has been working in the design field since 2012. Steph began their career as a Design Trainee at the San Francisco Recreation and Park Department. In 2014, they moved to The Garden Route Company as a Lead Design Associate. In 2019, they became a Landscape Designer and has been in that role until 2021, when they moved to The Gardenista as their Lead Designer.

Steph Kawachi's education history includes a Bachelor's degree in International Relations and Affairs from Tufts University, obtained between 1997 and 2001. In 2008, Kawachi obtained a Certificate in Landscape Architecture from UC Berkeley Extension. In 2021, Kawachi obtained a Certified Landscape Architect (CLARB) certification from the Oregon State Landscape Architecture Board (OSLAB). Additionally, Kawachi holds a Bay Friendly Certified Landscaper certification from the Bay-Friendly Landscaping & Gardening Coalition.
