Our company leadership specializes in the multifamily industry and boasts a diverse array of project successes in multiple markets including new construction, infill, and mixed use developments. The Garrett Companies has been involved in the development of 50+ projects totaling over 12,000 apartment homes in 14 states. Our mission is simple: To develop, build and manage multifamily assets nationwide using an approach that builds value, eliminates risk and provides superior risk adjusted returns. Our vision is bold: Through the relentless pursuit of excellence become the most successful multifamily development company in the country, and to use that success to better our team, communities in which we work, and the lives of those that choose to call our campuses home. We have been recognized as a "Best Place to Work” because of our people. Our approach to hiring is to find people with talent that also have a desire to make things. As simple as that sounds…in this industry there always seems to be too many managers, and not enough creators. We look for creators! Our creators come from varied backgrounds and have been instrumental in breaking old work habits for the better – and also identifying opportunities to create new methods that make our projects better (in terms of profitability, design, and livability). Our team works hard and plays hard. We respect that a person is more than their job. We encourage time off to recharge, making time for family events and putting the little ones on the bus before coming to work. While we are focused and productive, we also try and take a moment to celebrate the little and big victories. We are committed to controlling our future by executing projects in a way that keeps our investors and lending partners happy – but also in a way that keeps our team engaged and our culture protected.
