Michael Klidas has a diverse work experience spanning over three decades. Michael is currently serving as the SVP, Chief Financial Officer, and Chief Grants Officer at The Gateway Family YMCA, where they lead a team to expand housing opportunities and manages the organization's budget. Before that, they worked as the Vice President of Finance at JASA, formulating finance policies and supervising divisional Controllers. Prior to that, they served as the Chief Financial Officer at RiseBoro Community Partnership, overseeing a $100M budget and centralizing finance activities. Michael has also held positions at Polytechnic Institute of New York University, YMCA of Greater New York, Bedford YMCA, YMCA of Greater New York Corporate Office, Borod and Company, CPAs, and National Futures Association.

Michael Klidas completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Fordham University from 1985 to 1989. Michael then pursued further education and obtained a Master of Science degree in Financial Engineering from New York University - Polytechnic School of Engineering between 2006 and 2007. Continuing their educational journey, they earned a Master's degree in Business Administration from New York University from 2008 to 2010.

The Gateway Family YMCA (Formerly YMCA of Eastern Union County) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, health and community service organization of caring staff and volunteers who are dedicated to providing quality services to people of all ages, races, faiths or incomes. The Y is a powerful association of men, women and children of all ages and from all walks of life joined together by a shared passion: to strengthen the foundations of community. FOR YOUTH DEVELOPMENT – Nurturing the potential of every child and teen through child care, afterschool child care, day camp, sports, arts, learn to swim, teen and health and well-being classes. FOR HEALTHY LIVING – Improving the nation’s health and well-being with programs and membership for youth, teens, adults, seniors and families. Programs include: yoga, zumba, volleyball, basketball, tae kwon do, arthritis, dance, health assessments, personal training, diabetes prevention, swimming and adult and child learn to swim. FOR SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY – Giving back and providing support for our neighbors. The Y has supportive housing for individuals and families, Adult Day Care, Financial Assistance along with community engagement.
