The Gathering Place
Rebecca Jacobson serves as the Human Resources and Office Manager at Auto Truck Group since July 2016, overseeing operations for a division specializing in truck modifications for utilities and government agencies. In addition to their role at Auto Truck Group, Jacobson has a long history of community involvement as a Job Placement Specialist for The Gathering Place and as a volunteer with the Douglas Elbert Task Force since 2011. Jacobson previously held leadership positions, including past Chairperson of the Parker Cultural & Scientific Commission, which promotes cultural and scientific opportunities in Parker, CO. Prior professional experience includes managing training and recruitment for Advocates for Children, business development roles at CH2M HILL and CompuCom, and extensive customer interfacing and sales management positions at AT&T/Lucent/Avaya. Jacobson holds a Bachelor of Applied Science degree from the University of Northern Iowa.
The Gathering Place
The Gathering Place (TGP) offers services to combat poverty and address the impacts of marginalization and oppression that are often contributing factors to poverty or homelessness. By offering low-barrier access to a broad range of basic necessities and wrap-around care options, TGP guides women, transgender folx and children living in poverty from a place of crisis and instability to one of stability and security. MISSION We are a community of safety and hope where positive relationships, choice, and essential resources transform lives. GUIDING PRINCIPLES We serve women, children, and transgender individuals who are experiencing poverty or homelessness. We believe in hope as an important change agent and hold that hope for everyone. We believe deeply in the power of community and continue working to develop it.
