Andy Abeyta

Andy Abeyta is an experienced visual journalist with a strong background in photography and photojournalism. Currently serving as a Visual Journalist at The Gazette in Cedar Rapids since September 2019, Andy has previously held roles as a Staff Photojournalist at Quad-City Times and completed internships at Peoria Journal Star and The Gazette. Additionally, Andy contributed to Flux Magazine as a Photographer and served as Vice President for the National Press Photographers Association at the University of Oregon. With a Bachelor's Degree in Journalism from the University of Oregon, Andy has developed a robust skill set in photo editing, story development, and digital publishing.
