Jose Guardado is an experienced talent acquisition professional with a proven track record in building and leading high-performing teams across various organizations. Currently serving as Talent at The General Partnership since October 2024, Jose was previously a Contributor/Reviewer at Holloway and held several key positions, including Partner/Team Lead in the Venture Practice at Riviera Partners after the acquisition of Build Talent, a company co-founded by Jose that specialized in recruiting VP+ leaders in Engineering, Product Management, Data Science, and Growth. Prior experience includes roles at Y Combinator, Andreessen Horowitz, Google, Nest Labs, Dropcam, and Edmodo, focusing on developing networks, leading recruitment efforts, and creating advisory programs. Jose is an alumnus of Urban School of San Francisco and Principia College.
