Rodney Saunders, FNP-C has an extensive work experience in the medical field. Rodney started their career in 1996 as a Machine Gunner in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve. From 2000 to 2012, they worked as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department at Knox Community Hospital and later at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. From 2013 to 2015, they served as a Registered Nurse in Urgent Care at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. In 2015, they joined the United States Army Special Operations Command as part of the Operational Medicine team, a role they held until 2019. Rodney then transitioned to become a Family Nurse Practitioner (66P) in the United States Army Reserve. In 2020, they worked as a Nurse Practitioner at Womack Army Medical Center while simultaneously serving in the United States Army Special Operations Command as part of the Operational Medicine team. Rodney also took on the role of Deputy Incident Commander for COVID-19 Response at the University of Maryland Medical System from March to September 2020. Currently, Rodney is working as a Project Director at The Geneva Foundation since December 2022.

Rodney Saunders, FNP-C completed their education history with a Master of Science in Nursing, specializing as a Family Nurse Practitioner, from the University of Cincinnati in 2019. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Ohio University in 2013 and an Associate of Science in Nursing from Central Ohio Technical College in 2000. In addition to their formal education, Rodney has obtained various certifications including Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS) from the American Red Cross, and certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner from both the North Carolina Board of Nursing and the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board (AANPCB). Rodney is also a registered nurse, certified by the North Carolina Board of Nursing.
