Marisa Dowling

Marisa Dowling currently serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor and Health Policy Fellow & Research Instructor in the Department of Emergency Medicine at The GW Medical Faculty Associates since August 2019. In parallel, Marisa holds positions as an Attending Physician at both Washington DC Veterans Affairs Hospital and United Medical Center. Previous experience includes a role as a Health Policy Fellow with the United States Senate Committee on Finance and the U.S. House of Representatives, along with a residency in Emergency Medicine at the University of Maryland Medical Center. Educational credentials include a Master of Public Policy from Harvard Kennedy School, a Doctor of Medicine from Duke University School of Medicine, and a Bachelor of Arts in Human Biology from Stanford University. Marisa's diverse experience encompasses health policy research, clinical practice, and significant contributions to emergency medicine.
