Gonzalo Penacoba

Gonzalo Penacoba is an experienced professional currently serving as a Member of the Board at GENDRO.ORG since March 2025, providing strategic advice and management support. As a Sustainability, Transition and Co-Financing Specialist at The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria since March 2013, Gonzalo assists in defining and implementing strategies for sustained impact in the South East Asia and Pacific portfolio. Additional roles within this organization include serving as a temporary Fund Portfolio Manager and Project Management Officer, supporting significant international public health initiatives. Gonzalo's earlier experience includes project management roles at CERN and Synchrotron SOLEIL, as well as research positions focused on peace-building interventions and advanced diagnostic systems. Gonzalo holds a Master's degree in International Negotiation and Policy Making from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva and has a strong educational background in electronics and telecommunications engineering.
