April Fong

April Fong is an experienced journalist and editor currently serving as the Deputy Editor of Personal Finance at The Globe and Mail since February 2025. Previously, Fong held the position of Executive Editor at The Logic from February 2021 to January 2025, where responsibilities included overseeing editorial strategy, managing editorial teams, and leading award-winning newsletters. Additional experience includes roles as Deputy Managing Editor at The Logic, Contract Instructor in Business Journalism at Carleton University, and Senior Digital Producer at BNN Bloomberg. Fong's early career includes positions at the National Post, China Economic Review, Talk Magazine Shanghai, and various other media outlets. Fong holds a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Political Science from Carleton University, an MA in Chinese Politics and Diplomacy from Fudan University, and completed the Canadian Securities Course at the Canadian Securities Institute.
