Matt Frehner

Matt Frehner has a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from the University of Alberta. Matt has held various positions in journalism, including Graphics Bureau Chief at Canadian University Press and roles such as Copy Editor, Technology Editor, Digital Editor, Mobile Editor, Senior Editor of Mobile & Interactive News, Head of Presentation, and currently serves as the Head of Visual Journalism at The Globe and Mail. Their leadership in these roles involves overseeing teams of editors, designers, developers, photographers, videographers, and graphic artists to produce high-impact visual journalism and tell stories across all platforms.
