Joseph Purdy

Joseph Purdy has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Currently, they are the Director of Operations at The Good and the Beautiful since November 2022. Prior to that, they worked at CIANA Decorative Lighting from 2019 to 2022, starting as a Production Manager and eventually being promoted to Senior Project Manager and then Director of Operations. Joseph played an instrumental role in transitioning the company's manufacturing process overseas and implementing standardized work to achieve company goals. Before that, Joseph worked at Hammerton from 2015 to 2019, holding positions such as Director of Quality and Safety, Manager of Product Development, Product Manager, and Product Development Engineer. Joseph contributed to significant improvements in service order rates, product development processes, and the efficiency of production operations. In addition, Joseph gained valuable experience during their time at Brigham Young University as a Student Engineer, Lab TA & Waterjet Operator, and Lab Assistant. Joseph also had an internship as a Manufacturing Engineering Intern at ImSAR, LLC, where they designed manufacturing processes and led process improvement initiatives. Furthermore, Joseph worked as a Scuba Repair Technician at Scuba Teds and as a Tool Crib Attendant at Brigham Young University. Joseph Purdy received their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Manufacturing Engineering Technology/Technician from Brigham Young University, which they attended from 2009 to 2015. Joseph also obtained additional certifications, including Lean Six Sigma Black Belt from Gemba Academy LLC in 2020, Certified Manufacturing Technologist from SME in April 2015, AUP Open Circuit Technician Course from American Underwater Products in November 2012, TUSA Regulators - Level 2 from TUSA Care in 2012, and Valve Repair Technician from PSI-PCI in 2012.
