Susan Bachar is a seasoned nonprofit leader with extensive experience in philanthropy and organizational development. Currently serving as a Senior Philanthropy Officer at The Good Food Institute since April 2021, Susan focuses on accelerating alternative protein innovation globally. Previously, as Chief Executive Officer of Willow International, Susan led efforts to combat human trafficking in Uganda and oversaw strategic planning and fundraising. At Black Fox Philanthropy, Susan managed client services and business strategies for nonprofits and social entrepreneurs in over 40 countries. As Executive Director of the Africa School Assistance Project, Susan significantly improved public education and adolescent girls’ secondary school completion rates in Tanzania. Additional roles include Public Affairs & Communications Consultant at Denver's Road Home, Senior Associate at SE2, and Vice President at Dutko Public Relations and Communications. Susan holds an International Business Certificate from Georgetown University and a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Government from Franklin & Marshall College.
