Valerie Burton

Valerie Burton currently serves as the Executive Assistant for the Policy team at The Good Food Institute, focusing on improving the global food system. Previously, Valerie held the position of Director of Day Support at ECHO, where oversight of programs for individuals with disabilities was a primary responsibility. Valerie's extensive experience includes roles as Program Coordinator at Trusted Media Brands, Inc., and various positions within Loudoun County Government, where management of adult protective services and investigations was essential. Earlier roles involved direct care, advocacy, and marketing in organizations such as L'Arche Greater Washington, DC, and St. Martin's Press. Valerie holds a Master's degree in Social Work from the University of South Carolina and a Bachelor of Arts in English with minors in Business and French from the University at Albany.
