Joe Goodwin founded The Goodwin Group in 1999 to provide superior service to a diverse and growing client-base. With 40 years of experience in the industry, serving a variety of clients across virtually all functional lines, The Goodwin Group provides service on selection of members of senior management (including the C-Suite) and board of directors.

Prior to founding The Goodwin Group, Joe served as Managing Partner and founded the Atlanta office serving the Southeast for Spencer Stuart. In addition, he later served on the board of directors of a public company, as well as on the Executive Committee, leading the firm through a period of unparalleled growth and expansion.

Prior to his entry into the executive search industry, he served in a variety of leadership roles with Xerox Corporation. Joe was one of the original staff members of the Xerox Leadership Development and Training Center outside of Washington, D.C. Joe earned an undergraduate degree in Business

Administration at the University of Alabama and completed the Harvard School of Corporate Governance program.

Joe has served in an advisory role for one of the largest strategy consulting firms, Boston Consulting Group, and on the board of directors of a multi-billion dollar privately-held company. He has also served as a member of the board of directors of several civic and charitable organizations.
