Andrew Zahuranec is a seasoned researcher and policy analyst with extensive experience in governance and security-related topics. Currently serving as a Research Fellow at The Governance Lab since August 2018, Andrew previously held roles as a Research Assistant at the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, where contributions included drafting reports on critical issues such as Russian election interference and human rights. Additionally, work as a Homeland Security and Public Safety Scholar at the National Governors Association involved creating policy memos and facilitating key meetings on security matters. Earlier experiences include a Business Advisory Internship at Command Consulting Group and various roles during academic tenure, including a focus on budget oversight and student government initiatives at Mercyhurst University. Andrew holds a Master’s Degree in Security Policy Studies from The George Washington University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and Intelligence Studies from Mercyhurst University.
