Victoria Alsina-Burgues is currently serving as the Minister of Foreign Action and Open Government for the Government of Catalonia since 2020, while also co-chairing the Catalonia 2022 initiative aimed at post-Covid-19 recovery. Alsina-Burgues has an extensive academic background, holding positions at NYU Center for Urban Science + Progress as Academic Director and Industry Associate Professor, and is a Senior Fellow at The Governance Lab. Additional roles include advisory positions with the Council of Europe and the World Economic Forum. Prior experience includes leadership in governmental representation and fellowships at esteemed institutions such as Harvard Kennedy School. Alsina-Burgues holds multiple degrees, including a PhD in Political and Social Sciences from Universitat Pompeu Fabra and multiple master's degrees.
