The Government of the Republic of Armenia
Narek Mkrtchyan serves as the Minister of Labour and Social Affairs for the Government of the Republic of Armenia since April 2021, after previously holding the position of First Deputy Minister in the same department. In addition to this role, Narek Mkrtchyan has been the In Charge of Foreign Affairs for Armenia's ruling "Civil Contract" Party since February 2023 and has been a lecturer at the American University of Armenia since 2015. Narek Mkrtchyan was also a Member of Parliament in the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia from December 2018 to April 2021. Academically, Narek Mkrtchyan holds a Master's degree in Political Science and International Affairs from the American University of Armenia, a Master's degree in World History and a PhD in World History from Yerevan State University.

It is one of the three main governmental branches of Armenia and is headed by the Prime Minister of Armenia.
