Matt Cannon

Matt Cannon has a range of work experience in finance and management roles. Matt started their career at PwC in 2009 as a Business Placement, and then progressed to become a Senior Associate and later a Manager. In 2016, they joined The Gym Group as a Finance Analyst and gradually moved up the ranks to become the Head of Commercial Finance. In this role, they oversee the commercial finance function, including responsibilities such as month-end reporting, forecasting, and business partnering. Matt has also led their finance team in strategic initiatives, such as new product offerings, supplier negotiations, and operating model reviews.

Matt Cannon completed their education through the following chronological steps:

- From 2005 to 2007, they attended The Ashcombe School Sixth Form in Dorking, where they pursued A Levels in History, Maths, and Sociology.

- Starting in 2007 and ending in 2011, they attended the University of Leeds, where they earned a BSc in Accounting & Finance (Industrial).

- Finally, from 2009 to 2013, they studied at ICAEW, ultimately completing their ACA degree in Accounting.
