Emma Pomfret

Emma Pomfret is an experienced media and communications professional with a strong background in international development and humanitarian issues. Currently serving as Global Media Manager at The HALO Trust since July 2023, Emma has previously held significant roles, including Media and Communications Manager at Malaria No More UK and Senior Media Manager at Action Against Hunger | ACF-UK. Emma's expertise includes generating and managing media activities during humanitarian crises, innovative social media engagement, and developing impactful press materials, demonstrated during their tenure at Save the Children International where Emma managed media responses during the Ebola crisis. With a solid foundation in journalism, including as Senior Media Officer at Joshua Orphan Care and a journalist at The Press Association, Emma has also been recognized with multiple awards for outstanding reporting, including the One World Media Press Award. Emma holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and Geography from the University of Leeds and a diploma in newspaper journalism from Lambeth College.
