The Harbour
Melody Rose serves as the Executive Director at The Harbour since October 2021, bringing extensive experience in youth and family services. Prior roles include Director of Clinical and Outreach Services at Youth & Opportunity United from January 2010 to August 2021, where responsibilities encompassed managing clinical programs and coordinating community outreach. Melody also held positions as a Youth and Family Counselor, Clinical Coordinator, and Site Coordinator, providing therapy and crisis intervention in various settings. Earlier experience includes roles at Centerstone as a Youth and Family Therapist, demonstrating expertise in home-based therapy and collaboration with governmental agencies. Additional notable accomplishments include participation in Teach for America, receipt of multiple Employee Commendation Awards, and recognition with the 2015 Don Baker Youth Service Award. Melody holds a Master of Social Work and a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice and Psychology from Indiana University.

Company Overview: The Harbour provides emergency shelter, transitional housing, and apartment based housing to youth who have been locked-out, abandoned, runaway, or who are experiencing homelessness for other reasons. Our goal is to provide youth with immediate care and safety and provide longer term support. Our programs empower our young people to continue their journey to emerging adulthood through services such as case management, advocacy, and linkages to help them provide for their health and wellness. We value education, employment, and financial literacy as core components of our program.
