Rama Vella

Rama Vella is an experienced technology leader with a strong background in software engineering and digital transformation. Currently serving as Director of Software Engineering at The Hartford since October 2006, Rama Vella focuses on modernizing applications to enhance customer responsiveness. Previous roles include Program Lead/Release Train Engineer, where collaboration with operations and underwriting leads facilitated improved business processes, and Tech Lead/Application Owner, responsible for initiating digital payment capabilities and addressing technical debt. Prior experience at Tata Consultancy Services included roles as IT Analyst, implementing real-time interfaces for USAA Bank, and Software Programmer, providing production support and enhancements.
