Executive Director & CEO at The HBCU Foundation

Daniel Moss is the Executive Director & CEO of The HBCU Foundation and is responsible for the overall strategic vision and road mapping for the organization.

Daniel spent two decades as a part of the charter and executive leadership team of HBCUconnect.com, with roughly 2 million members, the first and largest social network targeting professional African Americans, and the largest HBCU-related destination in existence.

In his current role with The HBCU Foundation, Daniel draws upon his vast knowledge and experience in the areas of Diversity Recruitment Marketing, Event Management, Publishing, and Business Development, to guide the foundation in alignment with its core mission.

In 2010, Daniel was the recipient of The Martin Luther King Jr. Excellence in Education Award, presented to him by then Ohio Lt. Governor Lee Fisher. In 2014, he was inducted into the Honda Campus All-Star Challenge Hall of Fame, bestowed by Honda of America’s Steve Morikawa, Vice President, Corporate Relations and Social Responsibility.

A passionate creative, Daniel designed The HBCU Foundation “Helping Hand” logo and has numerous paintings on permanent display at HBCUs. Daniel enjoys sparking intellectual curiosity in children and resides with his family in his hometown of Columbus, Ohio.
